About FluentWithClaire
Hello, I’m Claire, founder of FluentWithClaire. I teach Spanish and French to expats and aspiring expats through live, online, full-immersion courses designed for real life abroad.
Languages are my God-given gift. I began learning Italian at age two through my mother’s work in the travel industry, training my ear to absorb languages naturally. By seven, I was immersed in a Spanish-speaking community, and by fifteen I was studying abroad in Latin America, where Spanish became second nature. In high school, I would compete in statewide Spanish-language competitions and judges often asked whether I was a native speaker. By college (Emory University), I was working at Latin American embassies in Atlanta, GA, entirely in Spanish.
I later taught myself French in one semester, studied abroad in Paris, and moved there after graduation. Parisians regularly mistook me for a native speaker. I went on to attend law school in France, studying entirely in French, and graduated with honors before working at a Paris law firm.
Along the way, I've traveled the world as a certified Spanish- and French-speaking flight attendant. On paper, I am a trained linguist with from Emory University. In life, I am a fellow expat.

My Teaching Approach
FluentWithClaire is built on the exact immersion method I've used that turns foreign languages into second nature. From day one, my classes are taught entirely in the target language. It comes to life through music, movies, news clips, and vibrant, guided conversation. My students don’t just study the language; they fall in love with it, and that’s how real fluency happens.
